Oakland-Craig sweeps Tekamah-Herman triangular

The Oakland-Craig Lady Knights have been turning up the heat as of late.

On Tuesday, September 29, they took part in a triangular at their county rivals to the east, Tekamah-Herman.  Oakland-Craig gained a huge win over Stanton (25-21, 22-25, 26-24) and followed that up with a win over the host Tigers of Tekamah-Herman (25-21, 25-8).

Hilary Ray led the Lady Knights in kills against Stanton with 20 while Chloe Selk added 10.  Ray also went 18-19 from behind the service line with three service aces, totaling 11 points.  Marysa Moseman went 14-14 with seven points and one block.  Sabrina Rost went 10-10 with three points.  Lily Kopietz went 9-10 with two service aces and six points while Ella Brands went 8-10 with one point and one block.  Sabrina Rost led in digs with 19 while Hilary Ray added 17.  Marysa Moseman and Haley Olson contributed with 14 and 12 digs, respectively.  Lily Kopietz led in set assists with 30.

Hilary Ray led in kills against Tekamah-Herman with 13.  Marysa Moseman led from behind the service line, going 16-16 with one ace serve and 11 points while Sabrina Rost went 8-8 with four points.  Hilary Ray and Ella Brands each went 6-7 from behind the line with three and two points, respectively.  Rost led in digs with nine while Moseman added eight.  Lily Kopietz added six digs and led in set assists with 22.

Oakland-Craig took a 13-11 record into a home triangular against Douglas County West and West Point-Beemer on Tuesday before traveling to Pender on Thursday (tonight) and Omaha Concordia on Tuesday, October 13.
