The Lady Knights began the 2024 volleyball season by hosting a jamboree match with David City on Monday night.
O-C took the first and third sets by a score of 25-18, while David City dominated the second set 25-10. The teams went back and forth in the fourth set before the visiting Lady Scouts went up 24-22, and looked to close out the set and force a fifth and deciding set. However, junior Briar Ray recorded two kills and senior Brandi Helzer recorded one kill to go along with a David City hitting error over the match’s final four points to give the Knights the win 3-1.
The Knights will host Howells-Dodge on Thursday night to open the regular season.
