Oakland-Craig’s program will begin at 10 a.m. in the elementary gym.  The special ceremony is being designed by the high school social studies department and administration. Veterans and their families are invited to attend the program and stay to enjoy a luncheon sponsored by the Oakland Chamber of Commerce and hosted by the OCHS Student Council.  A Quilts of Valor presentation will be made as well as other student awards from local American Legions.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Burton at the OCHS office at 402-685-5661.

It will be an 11 a.m. start for the program at Tekamah-Herman.  Local veteran Brandon Mathistad will be the guest speaker.  A flag processional will conclude the program walking across the street to the Burt County Courthouse for a 21-gun salute.  Veterans and their families are invited to coffee and rolls in the high school commons following the program.  Questions can be directed to the Tekamah-Herman office at 402.374.2156.
