Saturday at Broadway Brothers in Decatur, a cornhole tournament was hosted.
“We just really like to play cornhole,” said Justin Boden. “We have a little spot there in the back that we like to throw around. I figured why not do a tournament with it. Keep it as a community thing, and there seems to be a lot of people that love playing cornhole around here.”
Boden talked about how many people showed up.
“We have 10 teams,” Boden said. “Each team has two people. It actually had a better turnout than what I thought it was going to be, especially putting it together at the last minute.”
Boden mentioned it wasn’t just Decatur residents that participated.
“They are from all over,” he said. “There were people from Lyons as well as Tekamah that came out to play.”
Before the tournament was over and a champion was crowned, Boden said what the winner would get as their prize.
“The winner is going to get the pot that they paid in for,” he added. “It’s $20 per team. The winner will get the entire thing.”
