The Robert Klase VFW Auxiliary Post 7998 continues to stay active in supporting veterans and serving the local community. The Auxiliary is excited to share that it now has a Facebook page. Community members are encouraged to follow VFW Auxiliary Post 7998 to stay updated on events, fundraisers, and service projects.

The Auxiliary will be hosting a bake sale fundraiser on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lyons Community Center. This event will coincide with the VFW/American Legion’s popular beef burger fundraiser, making it a great opportunity to enjoy a meal while supporting multiple local veteran organizations. Proceeds from the bake sale will be used to fund future community projects and veteran-related initiatives. Those interested in becoming a member of the VFW Auxiliary are encouraged to stop by, as membership applications will be available at the bake sale.

Recently, the Robert Klase VFW Auxiliary Post 7998 proudly donated to Victory House in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as the Norfolk Veterans Home, continuing its mission of assisting veterans and their families across the state.

In addition to fundraising and donations, the Auxiliary offers a scholarship opportunity for Lyons-Decatur seniors, supporting local students as they pursue their educational goals.

As Poppy Season nears, the Auxiliary prepares once again to distribute poppies in honor of the sacrifices made by veterans. Funds raised during Poppy Season help support veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.

The Robert Klase VFW Auxiliary Post 7998 welcomes community support and looks forward to continued service throughout the year.
